Einige alte Saaser Häuser und verwitterte Kornspeicher erinnern noch an die früheren kargen Zeiten. Die Chalets, Appartementhäuser und Hotels sind überwiegend im traditionellen Walliser Stil gebaut und bewahren Saas-Fee seinen Dorfcharakter und eine ursprüngliche Atmosphäre. Der Ort ist autofrei (große Parkflächen und Tiefgaragen am Ortseingang gegen Gebühr). Elektrofahrzeuge übernehmen Transport- und Spazierfahrten. Saas-Fee, die ?Perle der Alpen? zählt mit seinem Angebot zur Spitzengruppe der 3-Sterne-Stationen der Schweiz. Skigebiet 8 Kabinenbahnen, 2 Sessellifte und 12 Schlepplifte erschließen die verschiedenen Skigebiete mit 100 Pistenkilometern. Die mittelschweren Abfahrten überwiegen, jedoch gibt es an Plattjen, Felskinn und Längfluh sowohl einige schwere Abfahrten als auch leichte Pisten. Vor einigen Jahren wurde die supermoderne 'Metro Alpin' vom Felskinn (3000 m) zum Mittelallalin (3500 m) eröffnet. Mit dieser unterirdisch geführten höchsten Standseilbahn der Welt können in knapp drei Minuten 500 Höhenmeter überwunden werden. Oben laden das höchstgelegene Drehrestaurant der Welt sowie der größte Eispavillon der Welt zum Besuch ein. Zudem wurde durch die 'Metro Alpin' der Feegletscher für den ganzjährigen Skilauf erschlossen. Der 'Alpin Express', eine moderne und leistungsfähige Großraumgondel, bringt die direkte Anbindung vom Dorf zur Felskinnstation, sorgt für kürzere Wege und vermindert eventuelle Wartezeiten in der Hochsaison. Beschneiungsanlagen im Skigebiet Plattjen sowie an den Talabfahrten. Seit dem Winter 2005/2006 4er-Sessellift auf den Längfluh. Seit dem Winter 2006/2007 ein neuer leistungsfähiger 6er-Sessellift (mit Schutzhauben) zwischen Morenia und Felskinn sowie die Felskinn-Seilbahn mit neuen Gondeln. Am Staffelwald, auf sanften Hängen am Ortsrand, bieten 3 Übungslifte ein ideales Anfängergelände. Durch den Gletscher sowie Kunstschnee mittels Beschneiungsanlagen an zahlreichen Pisten ist in Saas-Fee das Skifahren von ca. Mitte November bis ca. Ende April möglich; an den Talabfahrten neue Beschneiungsanlagen. Das sonnige Gebiet der Hannigalp wird vor allem von Rodlern, Wanderern und Gleitschirmfliegern geschätzt. Die Seilbahn, die auf 2350 m Höhe führt, bedient kein Skigebiet. Snowboard Freestyle-Park mit Halfpipe (80 m lang) und permanenter Boarder-Cross mit Rope Tow, Rails, Tables, Gaps und Chilloutzone bei Morenia. Beginner-Freestyle-Park bei den Liften im Gebiet Staffelwald (Dorflifte). Skipass Generalabonnement Saas-Fee 6 Tage CHF 329, 13 Tage CHF 613. Der Skipass SAAS (umfaßt zusätzlich die Skigebiete von Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell und die Busverbindung dorthin): 6/13 Tage: CHF 359/678. Tages- und Halbtageskarten.
